Tips for Keeping Your Towels Soft

Wrapping yourself in a clean, soft towel after a shower is one of the small but wonderful pleasures of the day. To preserve the texture of your towels, you can pay attention to a few details in your care routine. Your first guide should always be the product's care label.

1. Read the care label

Choose the washing temperature, cycle, and drying method according to your towel's own instructions. Different fabrics and weaves may require different care. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the first wash as well.

2. Use the right amount of detergent

More detergent does not always mean a better clean. Detergent left in the fabric can make the towel feel harsh. Consider the recommended amounts on the packaging, the load size, and the hardness of your water. Make sure the towels are rinsed well.

3. Do not overload the machine

It is important for towels to have room to move freely so they can be washed and rinsed properly. Adhere to your machine's capacity and the load limit of the cycle you choose. Wash similar colors together; keep items with zippers or those that could snag the fabric separate.

4. Be careful with fabric softener

Some fabric softeners can leave residue on the fibers and reduce absorbency. Follow the towel's care instructions regarding its use. Avoid using excessive detergent or care products for softness.

5. Dry properly

Use the dryer only if the care label allows, and use the specified setting. If you are drying by hanging, lightly shake the towel and spread it out so it can breathe. Do not fold it and put it away before it is completely dry.

6. Air it out between uses

Instead of leaving a damp towel on a cramped hook or in a laundry basket, spread it out so it can breathe. Determine the washing frequency according to your usage and the conditions of the environment.

A small care routine, a more enjoyable use

You do not need complicated methods to take care of your towel's texture. Washing according to the label, using the right amount of detergent, rinsing well, and drying properly can form the basis of your daily care.
